I’ve decided to start blogging for real again. I’ve used the blog as a expressive medium for about 10 years now but in many different forms. (My first blog was a static HTML page that used the blink tag in the headers!) Most recently I’ve been utilizing the popular micro blogging service twitter and the media blogging platform tumblr. Both are great but I’ve missed the ability to write longer and more complicated posts. I will continue to use both twitter and tumblr, although a bit differently.
Until now I’ve mostly blogged in Icelandic. As I have friends, family and colleagues everywhere in the world and of all nationalities I have come to the conclusion that blogging in English is the way to go. It enables me to reach a wider audience and I get to expand my vocabulary and English writing skills.
The blog is powered by Wordpress, which is by far my favorite blogging platform. I designed (CSS, HTML) the theme using the Whiteboard Wordpress framework by Brian Purkiss. Many thanks to him.
